Soft Start/Boot Module of Low-power Single-phase Motor 

Simple Operation; 1-8KW

This module is compatible with 220V and 380V live lines, frequency 50-60HZ, soft boot is 30 seconds, adjustable (time rise: 0-220V). When the main power supply is 220V, the starting voltage starts from 0-110V to the rated voltage 220V; when the main power supply is 380V, the starting voltage starts from 0-180V to the rated voltage 380V. There are two ways to use: 1. when the switch is closed, the main power supply is powered on and soft boot works. 2. External switch to control. Soft boot works when switch is closed and stops when switch is disconnected.

Benefits:

Pumps, fans, cranes, soft boot of ordinary single-phase motor; replace the adjustable auto transformer, soft boot of inverter, etc.. Wiring is simple, and bypass contactor is not needed, economical and practical with powerful functions.

Note:

• When using or debugging it (do not debug it with no load), please don’t adjust the soft start time to minimum ( large starting current would burn the module).
• No extra voltage can be added to the switch.
• R1 is default, unless other requirements specified.
• This soft start module should be equipped with heatsinks.
• Only the built-in switch on the module can be used for soft stop.
• In case the indicator light doesn’t give off light, remove the short circuit terminal first, and then power on.
• It cannot be used for the hanging-type motor.

Model Selection Guide:

Aluminum substrate: SSR- 20WA-R(1KW), SSR- 40WA-R(1.5KW).

Copper substrate: SSR-60WA-R(2KW), SSR-100WA-R(4KW) SSR-150WA-R(6KW), SSR-200WA-R(8KW).

Notes while using:

When the starting potentiometer is set to half, it corresponds to the starting voltage of 110V,The maximum time of soft start potentiometer is 30 seconds, corresponding to the whole 220V.

• For example: when all is adjusted be minimum: starting voltage is 0V and soft start is 0 seconds (0 second not recommended)
• Power supply 220V: when all is adjusted to be half, starting voltage is 55V and softstart time is about 22 seconds
• Power supply 380V: when all is adjusted to be half, starting voltage is 95V and startstart time is about 22 seconds
• Power supply 220V: when all is adjusted to be maximum, starting voltage from 110V to 220V takes 15 seconds
• Power supply 380V: when all is adjusted to be maximum, starting voltage from 190V to 380V takes 15 seconds
• Selection of allowance recommended: 2KW using SSR-60WA-R, the above nominal powe is 220V, 380V.
• When double fire lines, the power can be 1.5 times.
