Advantages of Sixpack IGBT Modules
The Sixpack IGBT module offers several key benefits, including a high chopper frequency range of 4 to 16kHz and the ability to replace three dual-IGBT modules of the same power level, simplifying system design. Practical operation observations indicate a fivefold improvement in reliability. Additionally, the power board's reliability is significantly enhanced due to direct soldering between power devices, ensuring compact power circuit layouts for PFC rectifiers, inverters, and static switches. This reduces stray inductance and improves electromagnetic compatibility.
Application Advantages in UPS Systems
Sixpack IGBT modules are becoming a key trend in UPS applications due to their superior performance and reliability. Their high-frequency switching capability is essential for power factor correction (PFC), reducing input current harmonic distortion (THDI <3%) and eliminating the need for harmonic filters. These modules also offer a more compact design, optimized costs by using integrated semiconductor components instead of bulky transformers and inductors, and a simplified structural layout with fewer mechanical and electrical components. The direct soldering of power circuits, fewer connection points, and reduced wiring length minimize impedance and enhance system efficiency. Additionally, the increased switching frequency significantly lowers noise in the audible range, improving overall system performance.
