Push Buttons:
Momentary (Spring Return): The circuit is completed or broken only while the button is pressed; it automatically returns to its original position when released.
Latching (Stay Put): The button remains in the operated position after being pressed and must be pressed again or reset by a specific action.
Appearance: Flush head, Projecting head, Mushroom head (commonly used for emergency stop functions).
Selector Switches: Change between different positions by rotating a handle.
Pilot Lights: Used for status indication.
Key Operated Switches: Operated with a key to enhance security.
Type of Contact
N/O (Normally Open): The circuit is open by default and closes when the actuator is operated.
N/C (Normally Closed): The circuit is closed by default and opens when the actuator is operated.
Mixed Configurations: A single control station can contain multiple sets of both N/O and N/C contacts.
Common Functional Combinations
Single Function: Start, Stop, Emergency Stop.
Dual Function: Start/Stop, Forward/Reverse, Open/Close.
Three Function: Forward/Stop/Reverse, Up/Stop/Down.
