TFI253-1000 Fast Impulse Thyristor

TFI253-1000 is a fast impulse thyristor in disc design. It has a repetitive peak off-state and reverse voltage VDRM/VRRM of 1800-2200 V, and a mean on-state current ITAV of 1000 A. The thyristor features an industry-standard ceramic housing, making it easy to integrate into existing equipment. The maximum junction temperature Tjmax is 125 °C.

Fast thyristors are characterized by a very low turn-off time, which sets them apart from standard models. They are used in welding, induction heating and melting, electric transportation, AC drives, UPS, and other systems requiring short turn-on and turn-off times. The thyristors have a sealed housing that isolates the functional part and the semiconductor element from mechanical impacts and the environment.

This thyristor has a disc housing with pressure contacts. Disc thyristors are notable for the possibility of two-sided cooling.

Power thyristors from Greegoo have the following features:

∙ Low static and dynamic losses;
∙ High values of VDRM, VRRM;
∙ Extensive experience in using the devices across various industries;
∙ Voltage range from 100 to 6500 V and current range from 125 to 5000 A;
∙ High resistance to thermal and electric cycling;
∙ Natural or forced air cooling.
